How To Replace The Muffler On A TC80 Plate Compactor

On our TPC80 Plate Compactor, the muffler sits on the engine housing. The muffler is great for dissipating loud sounds created by the engine’s pistons and valves. If your muffler happens to break, you will need a replacement.

NOTE: The replacement muffler for the TPC80 Plate Compactor fits 2018 and newer models.

Follow these quick steps to replace your muffler in no time:

What You Will Need:

Step 1:

Use a 10 mm socket to remove the screws holding the muffler to the base of the exhaust.

Step 2:

Remove the muffler.

Step 3:

Remove the gasket underneath the muffler.

Step 4:

Place a new gasket down, aligned with the opened holes.

Step 5:

Place the new muffler on top of the gasket.

Step 6:

Use a 10mm socket to fasten the screws into the muffler and the base of the exhaust.

Once your new muffler is in place, your plate compactor will be ready to use!
