The Tomahawk Turbo Boosted Backpack Fogger is a powerful tool for applying pesticides, disinfectants, and fertilizers efficiently. However, even the best tools can run into occasional issues—leaks being one of the most common. If your fogger is leaking, there's a simple and effective workaround that can help resolve the problem: a gravity feed bypass.

In this guide, we’ll walk you step-by-step through this quick fix to help you restore full, leak-free functionality to your fogger.

Step 1: Check All Hose Connections

Before diving into the bypass setup, make sure all hose connections are intact and properly secured. Pay special attention to the breather tube inside the tank, as it’s a frequent source of leakage.

If you haven’t already, refer to Tomahawk’s breather tube video to verify your setup.

If the fogger still leaks after checking your hoses, proceed to the gravity feed bypass method.

Step 2: Set Up a Gravity Feed Bypass

This simple setup bypasses the internal pump and relies on gravity to move liquid from the tank to the nozzle.

1. Disconnect the Existing Tube

  • Locate the nipple at the base of the tank.
  • Remove the tube connected to it.
  • Either completely remove this tube or zip-tie it aside to keep it out of the way.

2. Attach a Spare Tube

  • From your fogger's original packaging, grab one of the spare tubes provided.
  • Connect it to the same nipple at the tank base.

3. Connect to the Throttle Valve

  • Next, locate the white valve at the back of the throttle.
  • Remove the existing tube at that connection point.
  • Attach the other end of your spare tube to the white valve’s connection point.

Step 3: How It Works

With this gravity feed bypass in place, your fogger now delivers liquid directly from the tank to the valve, and out through the nozzle—eliminating the internal pump as a potential failure point. This setup is simpler, effective, and often stops persistent leaks instantly.
