This week, we are demonstrating how we shrink wrap our freight pallets. There are various ways to wrap a freight pallet, and we have found this method to be the most secure. When you are shipping out high value, fragile items, it’s essential to protect the package enough to not get tampered with during transportation.
Before you begin, make sure each box is stacked in a straight line and not coming off of the pallet. If the boxes are overlapping the pallet, you run the risk of damage during transportation.
In this video, we wrapped Tomahawk Power’s 2000 Watt Inverter Generator.
This process is very easy, yet it provides extra security that transportation companies will not do for you.
STEPS
- Tape cardboard corners to the boxes.
- Start wrapping from a corner, under your pallet, or box.
- Start wrapping from the bottom and work your way up.
- Strap down with tie-downs.
TIP: For extra security, twist your shrink wrap as you are wrapping the freight pallet.
