How To Replace The Throttle Cable On A TVSA-H Power Screed

The throttle cable connects to the power screed engine. The replacement throttle cable for the TVSA-H Honda Engine Power Screed Assembly fits 2019 and newer models. 

 

Here's how to replace the throttle cable on your power screed:

 

What You Will Need:

 

Instructions:

Step 1:

Using plyers and a screwdriver, remove the screw that connects the throttle cable to the throttle lever at the top of the power screed. 

Step 2:

Open the air filter to access the carburetor.

Step 3:

Remove the throttle cable from the slit on the carburetor.

Step 4:

Loosen the screw on the old throttle cable and pull out of the black slot.

Step 5:

Pull the entire throttle cable from out of the handle tube.

Step 6:

Feed the new throttle cable through the handle tube. 

Step 7:

Insert the throttle cable through the slit on the carburetor.

Step 8:

Place the screw on the black slot.

Step 9:

Make sure there is a washer on the front and back of the black slot.

Step 10:

Tighten the screw to secure the throttle cable to the carburetor. 

Step 11:

Cover the carburetor with the air filter. 

Step 12:

Connect the throttle cable at the top to the throttle lever.

 

Your power screed is now ready for use!
