If your Tomahawk TMD14 Backpack Fogger is leaking—even after ensuring all hoses are properly connected—rerouting the system can serve as an effective workaround. This method is particularly useful if the pump has been compromised, such as from running the unit dry. The following guide outlines the steps to reroute your fogger's system, based on Tomahawk Power's official instructions.

Step 1: Verify All Hose Connections

Before proceeding with a system reroute, double-check that all hoses are securely connected. Pay special attention to the breather tube inside the tank, as a disconnected or damaged breather tube is a common cause of leaks.

Step 2: Remove the Existing Tube from the Nozzle

Locate the tube connected to the nozzle at the base of the tank. Carefully remove this tube. You can either remove it entirely or secure it out of the way using a zip tie.

Step 3: Attach the Spare Tube

Retrieve the spare tube provided in your fogger's packaging. Connect one end of this spare tube to the same nozzle connection point at the base of the tank.

Step 4: Connect the Spare Tube to the Throttle Valve

Identify the white valve located at the back of the throttle handle. Disconnect the existing tube from this valve. Then, attach the other end of the spare tube to this connection point on the throttle valve.

Step 5: Test the Fogger

After completing the reroute, start your fogger to ensure that the leak has been resolved and that the unit is operating correctly.
